If Joan Lyche is the daughter of Grace Wible Shuman, then this expression of condolence comes from the son of Grace Shuman's dear friend, Alice Jean Fisher Sandbach. If this connection is correct, I recall being "babysat" by Joan in the mid 1940s. I have thought of Grace and Joan many times over the years, and was saddened at word of Mr. Lyche's passing. He and Joan are in our thoughts and [prayers.
