Not sure what to say?

I met Mr. Toldson as a student at George Rogers Clark school no 1. He was my shop teacher and I am happy to know he belonged there no more than i did. He was one of the first black males i ever met. Even as a 7th and 8th grader I was impressed with his beautiful voice and quiet intelligence. How amazing to see what he accomplished in his life. The last time i saw him he had asked me to come to school to answer questions and do some testing. It all makes sense now. He was preparing for his...

Mrs. Toldson, I worked at the center for you and Dr. Toldson as your Assistant in early 1990's. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Toldson. Both of you were such nice employers. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.

Dr. Ivory Toldson was one of my favorite professors while attending Southern University. I was enrolled in his psychology class in 1975. He was scholarly, gentlemanly, and student-centered. He inspired me to pursue and secure the doctorate at Texas A&M. His legacy will live on through his loving family and the many students whose lives he touched. I keep his 'Roots of Soul' on the top shelf in my Home Library. Moreover, I look forward to reacquaintance with him in the glorious resurrection.

I WISH TO THANK GOD FOR SENDING ONE OF HIS ANGELS HERE TO HELP OTHERS COME TOGETHER AS ONE IN A FAMILY UNIT, WE WILL MISS YOU VERY MUCH DR. TOLDSON. MUCH LOVE TO THE FAMILY. To Mrs. Frances Toldson and Family:

I met DR. Toldson as a student. It was the first 1X per week class I ever had and it was on Wednesday nights for 3 hours AND I was pledging! What I learned helped me with the children I've worked with for the last 36 years. It was in that class that I drew something for a presentation and Dr. Toldson remembered that and had me do some art work for a presentation for his class. Fast forward some 20 years later he asked me to illustrate one of his...

With Deepest Sympathy

I am deeply sorry to learn of the passing of Dr. Ivory L. Toldson. Dr. Toldson and my close friend, the late Dr. Alfred B.Pasteur, co-authored the great book "Roots of Soul".
In the passing of Dr. Toldson we have lost a major contributor to "The truth being told". It was my honor to assist Drs. Toldson and Pasteur in securing the funds for their research travel in Africa.
