My condolences to your family. I was a patient of Dr. Austin`s in 2006. My family and I appreciate his care of me during a difficult time. I am happy to say I am 18 year survivor of ovarian cancer. Juli williams

My heartfelt condolences to the family. Dr. Austin was my oncologist throughout the 1970s. He was the only doctor who stepped up to save me when everyone else said it was terminal. I had stage 3 ovarian cancer. Thanks to Dr. Austin, I am 72 years old today. I was diagnosed at the age of 23. My heart is truly broken, may he rest in peace with the angels.

I worked with Dr Austin at UAB GYN clinic in 1977 ,He was a great doctor and I always had great respect for him . My condolences

I am so sorry to hear of Max passing. He was such a pleasure to work with during our SGO presidencies. I learned from so many of his trainees and colleagues what an amazing physician, teacher and friend was to so many physicians and how kind and caring he was to his patients. Such a fine man and role model! You are in my prayers. Mike Berman
