Not sure what to say?

Remembering Bert, my college room mate, who left the world a better place

My brother and I studied organ with Reverend Carlson at North Austin Lutheran Church in Illinois in the 1960s while he was attending Seminary. We attended his ordination. I got in touch with him a few years ago and was hoping to contact him again. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Pastor Carlson was a pastor at my mother's church; and then for a short time, at mine. An authentic person with integrity. My condolences for your loss.

"Day by day, day by day, oh Dear Lord, three things I pray, to see Thee more clearly, love Thee more dearly, follow Thee more nearly, day by day."

My sincere condolences to your family.

I met Mr Carlson once with a mutual friend. He was a gentle kind giant; certainly a blessing to his circle of friends.

Sad to say goodbye to a truly great human being. He was always kind and friendly and willing to help anyone. He is gone too soon but lived a very full and positive life.
