Not sure what to say?

What a joyful man! He has made such a difference for good in the world. I am thankful for his daughter, Carole and her family. There are so many spiritual traits that Elder Fyans passed on to his family. My love and prayers are with each of you.

I met Elder Fyans in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1942. He took my sister and I to Sunday School in a neighbors home after we came home from "Mass". We loved the difference in what the Mormons had to offer and loved the missionaries. I have a photo of him with me, my sisters and neighbor friends climbing onto him to take a photo. It was my 10th Birthday party. My parents were John and Lola Garrison. I was later baptized in 1947 in Texas because of his influence on me when I was only 10 years...

Dear Fyans Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. May loving memories keep you close and bring you comfort and peace. It was our pleasure to help care for Thomas.

Dear Sister Fyans, As one member of the John C. Garrison family of Santa Fe, NM 1940-41, I wish to add my condolences at the passing of your sweetheart, Tom, and express our love and appreciation for one "Fine Missionary" who has had such an influence in our family's lives over all these years. We will miss him but we will not forget him. Our love to you and God bless you.

Our sincere condolences to Helen
Fyans & family from the Lynn Woodland family, Hal & Jeannette Woodland, Donna Harlin, Elaine Allington & Glenn Jensen and the families. Tom led a rich and wonderful life and we all enjoyed knowing the family & watching them grow. Blessings to Helen.

Dearest Helen and Family,
Our prayers are with you at this difficult time. All who knew Thomas Fyans loved him. He was a true disciple of the Lord, Jesus Christ. What a wonderful blessing you have had in your life to have him as your eternal sweetheart and father.
We express our sincere sympathy.
Much Love, Walter and Marie Gaisford

Dear Bishop Fyans & Family
May the Lord be with you all and be a great comfort to you all. Bishop Fyans was a great Bishop to me in the Butler Ward when I was a teenager.

Dear Helen and family:
Because of illness, we were unable to attend the viewing and the services. We wanted so much to see you and pay our respects. We have very fond memories of the two of you: (1) at the dedication of the Mexico City Temple where you and Jean both had brown alligator shoes that you had bought at ZCMI, (2) as members of our ward and good neighbors, (3) Tom's willingness to give us a special tour of the upper room of the Kirtland Temple, and (4) at your beautiful place...

Dearest Helen,
Larry and I would like to express our deepest sympathy to you and your family on the recent passing of
your wonderful husband, and our beloved friend, Tom. When we returned from our England Manchester Mission, we were sorry to learn that you had moved back to Salt Lake. Before we left, Tom had assisted our Stake Pres. Clifford Dunn, in setting us apart. Just having both of you there at that special time, touched our hearts.
Our lives have intertwined many times...
