my Dad called and told me of Porters passing and I just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I remember your Dad taking us camping when we were young and how great a guy he was. Your definitely in my thoughts.

Gay, Mark & Amy and all - What a wonderful tribute to an obviously very, very special man - who touched the lives of many. Although I never met your dad/grandfather - I knew him through what you've shared with us, Gay. I sent him my thoughts - everytime I walked by his house (& in these last few weeks, I said a prayer - every time I glanced across the creek at his house, or walked by). I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Porter was like a second father to me when I was a teen, back when Dan and I were always getting into low-level mischief. His warmth and sense of humor will always be treasured. I know he's looking down on us from Heaven with that ever-present twinkle in his eye while he shares a good laugh with whoever is around. To the Family of Porter Gibson. I have not know him for very long - my dealings with Mr. Gibson was with Gary Schaal. He was a wonderful man, full of joy, and always with a good thought for everyone. I know that he will be missed by all. I am just thankful that I had the opportunity to meet him and speak with him every so often and it was always a pleasure.
