Back in the early to mid 2000's Gordon was with Goodwill here in Winston-Salem... and he invited me to join their Business Advisory Council. Long story short, I've been with Goodwill for six years now and I have Gordon to thank for making that initial introduction. Thank you... and God bless...

As a recent past president of Mens Tanglewood Golf Association, we offer our thoughts and prayers to Gordon's family.

Personally, Gordon & I played many rounds of golf at Tanglewood and he won more times than I did. He was gracious in victory or defeat but always with humor and the opportunity to play again.

I remember Gordon when he the Jewel T man at my parents house in Piketown. He always had a smile and conversation. I was a kid back then but always remembered the time he took to talk to me on his visits. Rest in Peace.

I know of no words to express how I feel. Gordon and I had a brief but great relationship. He and I played golf together, but our friendship was much more. He reminded me many times how blessed he was to be able to be with his family here in Pennsylvania. His friendship and counsel will be greatly missed.

Gordon and I both were 'Jewel T' men for years. Gordon was just a good guy who never caused any problems. He did love his golf.
