Not sure what to say?

Dear Jim:
Kimmey and I just heard of your loss and wish to extend our sympathy. I didn't know your Dad but I am sure, having known you, and your character, these past 25+ years, that he was a man deserving great respect. I am sure he was proud of you.

Your Friends,
Larry Soronen and Kimmey Janco

Mrs. Hacker,
I am sorry for the loss of Mr. Hacker, he was a wonderful person and teacher. I often think of both of you. Especially the private lessons and the countless hours Mr. Hacker spent preparing me for NYSMA solos. He really found the musician within me for that I will always be greatful. Being a musician is still a big part of my life it is how I relax between work and everything else.
You and your family will be in my prayers.

Mr. Hacker was my band director throughout my years at John F. Hughes (ca. 1956-1964) - He was a fine musician/conductor and a great teacher.

Although I took private trumpet lessons from Henry Schueler, I learned a gret deal about ensemble playing from Mr. Hacker . . . things I still remember & use to this day.

My sympathy goes out to the family.

Dan Laino
Chicago Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra

I fondly remember the many music lessons that I experienced with Mr. Hacker. He was truly a gifted person. It was privilege to have been his student.

Jim: I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. Your father was obviously a gifted man who shared that gift with many.

Jim (and family), very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I hope the good memories of him fill your and your families hearts during this sad time. Joe Mitchell
