Not sure what to say?

A great tennis player, a better friend never existed. I'll miss the signature forehand, menacing service return and of course Waffle House after matches.

When I moved here from McGuire AFB in 1995 I was looking for tennis players to play doubles with. After meeting Mr B we played doubles every week for 18 years! Along with Robin Overstreet, Skip Ledbetter, John Sinkins and Dick Brock we made great memories and thats what life is all about.
I miss him terribly, he was like a second father to me...

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over all of you as Mr Burleigh's family. I worked with Mr. Burleigh a long time at the shipyard, thought he was a great friend and co-worker. He will be sorely missed.
Nell Bozard

I worked with J.B. for many years at the shipyard and he was a fine man. Everyone knew he loved tennis. So sorry for your loss.

Had worked with and for Burleigh for many years at Ingalls and considered him a great boss and good friend; so sorry for you lose.

George Ely

Burleigh was a great man and a friend. I enjoyed playing tennis wigth him although he was a much better player than I was. I know he will be missed very much. My simpathy to the family and his many friends.
