Our family met Sam thru the tragic loss of our daughter several years ago. First and foremost, he cared about us as a family. His kindness, caring, compassion and gentleness meant so much to us during this difficult time. During this time he showed a toughness, dedication and determination to get justice for our daughter. Thank you Sam, you hold a special place in our hearts. We will never forget. To Sam's wife, daughter, family, and friends, cherish the memories of this...

Sam was a member of our "Border" golf club. I first met him on a golfing trip to Cincinnati. He was my partner the first day we were there. We struck a friendship that lasts beyond today. I will miss Sam. My prayers to his family.

Though related, I did not know my cousin Jim/Sam well.
The last time I saw him was in court. I couldn't get over how much he looked like his oldest brother Gerry. Once he saw my mom, {his first cousin} Mary Lou (nee Welch), then came over to talk to her, I could see in his tired eyes, a kind, intelligent, and gentle soul.

About a month or two later, we learned of his cancer diagnosis.

I am saddened that he struggled so long with this horrendous disease...

To all remaining HOLTZ'S; my heart goes out to you. ❤
