Not sure what to say?

Trust that God will strengthen you during your time of sorrow. Isaiah 26:4.

I met Dr. Hurst as a new graduate nurse in the 60's and have treasured his friendship and knowledge since then. I was impressed that a person of his statue should support nurses and listen to their concern for the patients. In his later years I could not believe he would always be at the hospital before I arrived for my 7am shift. His knowledge was phenominal and he was always willing to share. My deepest sympathies to his family in their loss of this wonderful person. Maurneen Ozmore ( R.N....

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

Dr. Hurst was my mentor. It was only because of him that I came to Atlanta and to the outstanding Cardiology Fellowship Program at Emory University. He was an outstanding physician and a fine human being

Our condolences to John and the Hurst Family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Your grandfather lived a life full of great accomplishment. May the support of family and friends comfort you during this very difficult time.

I met Dr. Hurst at Emory in the early 80's when I was working nights as an ICU nurse. He would make 6AM rounds and always managed to find time to spend a few moments in conversation with me. Even then, I knew I was in a legendary presence. I have held Dr. Hurst in the very highest regard for some 30 years, and will always be grateful for having known him.

Our condolences to the Hurst Family. Dr. Hurst was a great man and will be missed.

I remember Dr. Hurst from my student nurse days at Grady Memorial Hospital. He was a very respected doctor! My thoughts and prayers for his family. Pat Moody RN
