I had both the honor and pleasure of serving with Allen in both Vietnam and Belgium. Allen and I had maintained a special friendship from when he was my CO in Nam at the 4th Inf Div in 1967 and we served together again in Belgium in the very early 70's. . We had spoken just a few weeks ago on the phone so the news was shocking. Allen was a fine officer and a true friend to all who knew him. Please pray for his family and friends. Thanks and God Bless.
