J. Roland "Jack" Lieber

Jack's been an inspiration in many ways and I am deeply saddened in even more. Not the least because I have not been as close these last years as I could have, should have. Not only for his sake but also for my own. How often do you meet someone who can inspire you, supports you in your aspirations, laughs at your failures and still adores you. You'll be on your way now, off to new discoveries. I send my love to you my friend.

Jack was a pistol. His passion and dedication to the profession of landscape architecture was matched by his zeal and wit. We saw each other when The Cultural Landscape Foundation was hosting or participating in events in Naples and with ASLA National or the Florida Chapter. We had some good laughs and a number of memorable landscape visits together. We will miss him.

I am so saddened to hear of Jack's passing. I will miss his wit and his passion.

Dear Jack, Friend and Mentor, Your spark of life, verve of curiosity will be sorely missed. You were such an inspiration to me over the years and I will miss your insights into all sorts of topics.

I picture you in a tropical forest, forever green.
