Dr. J. Donald McPike Jr.

Met Don in the Navy and served with him in Oakland Calif. in the early 90´s. Truly a "one of a kind." Kept in touch every few years and shared stories about the good old days.

I knew Dr. McPike as Mad Dog. We served together in Spain and developed a friendship that spanned over 30 years. I will miss our conversations and laughs. He was one-of-a-kind.

Donnie and I shared many experiences growing up including being awarded Eagle Scout Honor together at Troop 127 Boy Scouts program. A "fierce" ping-pong player we spent many hours in my basement. Will always have a special place in my heart for D on...

We all loved Don. He was genuine and had a very good sense of humor. Above all, we agreed on politics - two hold outs from another time!

Dick: Where did all the years go? Many great memories with Don from when we were teenagers to later in life when our paths crossed at the Muscatine Y. Sending best wishes your way.

Sorry to hear of Don's passing. We both attended MHS. Don was a great guy.

The McPikes were our neighbors. I used to put Donnie in my bike basket and take him for long rides. He was such great little boy and turned out to be a great adult. God bless the McPikes.
