Not sure what to say?

Dear Stephanie,

I still can’t stop thinking about Malcolm.

I have a photograph he took of a salt marsh on Cumberland Island, Georgia. These days I frequently stare into it, as if I am there with the photographer, looking upon that salt marsh in the early morning, listening to the photographer teaching me something about what I see.

I remember paddling with Malcolm most of all. Sometimes we would round a bend, and he would say “now, this spot looks really fishy.” Given...

Dr. Puleo, I am sorry to hear of your loss. Please know that I am thinking of you, praying for you and wishing you peace.

Sincerely,

Dr. Puleo,
I just wanted to extend my heartfelt condolences to you and to your husband's family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
With sincerest regards,

Dr. Puleo, I am so very sorry to learn of your husband's death. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Stephanie, We have never met, but I have known Malcolm since he and I were in graduate school at Auburn. Malcolm was a fine person. I have many pleasant memories of those times which include Malcolm. Although we managed to keep in touch for the first few years after Auburn, at meetings and by Christmas cards, somehow we lost touch over the years. After graduating from Auburn Malcolm took a job as a fisheries biologist with the state of Mississippi. He left that job to take the position...

Stephanie - Although you may not remember me, I had the pleasure of meeting you on two occasions. I worked with Malcolm at APCO between 2000 and 2006. The last two years I spent working on my Masters degree. Malcolm was always readily available to help educate and guide me along the way. He generously gave of his time to help me obtain my Masters degree. I will always remember the "15 min" coffee breaks that could go on for well over an hour as we would sit and share stories of our pasts....

Stephanie-When I arrived in 1988, Malcolm was the first biologist to take me into the field to experience AL's abundant blessings. I will miss him greatly. Please accept my heart-felt condolences.

Stephanie, I never had the pleasure of meeting you, but I have known and worked with Malcolm for several years now. He was one of the finest gentlemen and biologist I have ever known. He will be truly missed. I hope you will contact me if you ever need anything. God bless you and your family
