I was a struggling post college and semi professional soccer player making custom jewelry on Maui when my ACL went. I managed to talk my way into Dr. Steadman´s Tahoe clinic for repair. Of course, he was generous enough to let me pay my portion in an emerald and sapphire necklace for his wife. Two years later, his Vail office did my other knee. I was not only doing well enough to pay my share but asked my now (still) wife to marry me on the slopes of Vail the night before my surgery. 36...

I was Richards ski instructor at heavenly valley s lake tahoe .. years of fun great man, humor and my doctor sore knees !! i was a race coach also and ski racer tahoe pro circut. Richard never finished a lesson as his pager went off and to hospital he would go i loved his us ski team succrss and pro s famous thanks for my doctor visits also big nice man rip richard j[

Dick was a very good friend during our years at A&M. A great person and Doctor. Will be missed.
