Not sure what to say?

Mr.Wyatt was always so sweet to me and I remember his hugs he would give every time I saw him. I'm glad you got the chance to meet my goofy son. You've been a part of my life since I was in 6th grade and I will never forget you. We all love you so much! God bless you and Mrs.Miller. Until she's in your arms again, be her guardian angel.
Love Always,
Krystal

It was a shock to see Gary's picture in the Austin paper. It's been more than 40 years but I recognized him immediately.

I was a student of Mr. Wyatt in Dalhart, Texas in the 1960s. He was a wonderful teacher and friend and helped me gain the confidence I needed later in life. I learned virtually all I know about English grammar in one six-week period as we blazed through the Sophomre grammar book. He made it all make sense. He also was a good friend for a needy teenager. So many wonderful and amazing memories... you will never be forgotten Mr. Wyatt!
Wimberley Grad 1999

An amazing man and wonderful teacher. You will be missed greatly. Sending prayers to the Wyatt-Miller family.

What a wise and graceful man he was. He changed our lives; he made us better people. As Auden writes, memorializing Yeats, “he became his admirers.” Mr. Wyatt's legacy survives now in our hearts and work. Love to you, Ms. Miller—and love to my Lone Star Theatre brothers and sisters.

What a hole is left in the world, but really Gary lives on in the memories of his many students and their parents. Bless you, Gary Wyatt, and thanks for teaching my children so many valuable lessons.

When I came to interview for a counseling job in 1997, I walked past what was then the courtyard of the Wimberley High School/Junior High and saw students working in the July heat building props for what I later learned was Shakespeare Under The Stars. Was this for extra credit or summer jobs? No. It was for the love of these plays put on every summer. It was for the love of Gary Wyatt. I saw this love and respect for the twelve years I worked for WISD. He was a wonderful mentor, not...

Mr. Wyatt was a mentor to me since 8th grade. Through his leadership, I became a more confident individual and owe much of my success as an adult to him. He encouraged his students to speak up, he taught the importance of body language as effective communication, the art of improvisation, to trust one another, and most importantly, never to "let stupid out of the box." I remember working to help build the EmilyAnn Theatre, then loading everyone up in Mrs. Dzuik's van to jump in Jacob's...
