Not sure what to say?

Thinking of you all, Gig and Lori. Grateful we do not grieve as those without hope; praying for your comfort and peace as you remember your Daddy. With love, Sandy

I was just thinking of Dr. Gilbert who delivered 2 of my children way back in the 1980s and 1990s. He was a wonderful doctor, and of course all his patients could tell he loved us! I am very grateful to Dr. Gilbert, because I am sure he absolutely saved my life and both of my sons' lives during complicated deliveries. I'll see him heaven--and thank Him again then! And thank you to his family for this loving memorial and guestbook.

Was thinking about him today... he was my OB/GYN back in 1973, and although he was busy the day I gave birth (and Dr. Pickel did my delivery), I always appreciated him and the care and attention he gave to his patients. He was always quick with a smile and a joke, while making sure all was well with his patients. We need more doctors like him today! RIP Dr. G.

Awww, I was just thinking of him today and checked the internet, God Bless Dr. Gilbert You were a great person and doctor.

Dr. Gilbert delivered my brother, Wade, in 1960 and me in 1961. My father, Dr. PJ Williamson, and my mother Alice Jean would visit the Gilberts whenever we came back to Ft. Lauderdale. Great memories of times together with the Gilbert kids Clay, Shelby, and Gig. Some of my earliest memories. May God bless the family. Perry Gilbert Williamson (yes, middle name chosen in honor of J.C.)

All of the women in my family were
patients of Dr Gilbert. So I followed when I became pregnant. He used to come out into his waiting room and rub our belly's and say with a huge smile on his face "I wouldn't trade jobs with the Pope!!" I couldn't wait for my check-ups just to go and see him. He was one in a million and will be sorely missed. Love and prayers go out to his beautiful family who's pictures he proudly displayed in his office for all to see.

This is a very belated entry, and we are so sorry that none of the Hurley's could attend JC's service. He will be forever remembered in our family as the man who delivered all of the Hurley children and a man whom my late father (Capt. J.J. Hurley) and mother (Joy Hurley) thought so highly of. I got to see JC and Carrie Jean at my dad's memorial service in January of this year at St. Anthony Catholic Church in downtown Fort Lauderdale. We got to stroll down memory lane and even learned a...

To the Gilbert Family with Love from the Lowry Family. May you find comfort with family and friends. We remember J.C's wonderful smile and sense of humor, strength and Southern hospitality. Shannon and I will always remember our good times at LYC and the Rio Vista house starting 30+yrs ago. Gig, please hug your Mama and sister for me. ~Manya Lowry

Dr. Gilbert was my doctor for over twenty years, until his retirement in 1996. He performed his last hysterectomy on me. When he came to check on me after surgery, my father, Johnny Smith, was visiting me. They struck up a great conversation as they were both from the South and the same age. My father then began to do some carpentry work at Dr. Gilbert's home for the next several years. He was a great doctor who put you totally at ease. May God's peace be with the whole Gilbert family.
