J. D. ?Danny? Alsup, Jr., age 72 of the Midland Community, passed away Friday July 17, 2015 at his home. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Jeptha Daniel ?J. D.? and Margaret Campbell Alsup, Sr. Mr. Alsup was also preceded in death by a sister, June Brewer.
Mr. Alsup is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Ann Brothers Alsup; son, Danny Alsup, III of the Midland Community; sister, Joann Neely of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Daniel Alsup, IV of the Midland Community, and Jessica Danielle Alsup of Murfreesboro, TN
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother Doug Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with friends serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Alsup was a member of Christiana Church of Christ, but attended Midland Baptist Church with his wife. He was a US Air Force veteran, retired from General Electric in Murfreeboro, and was the owner and operator of Mid-State Battery.

My Uncle Danny was the best. He loved me like his own. He was funny and we had fun talking about how bad tell Titans were. He also drank cruddy beer. :) I love him so much.
