J. Eldon "Corkey" Harvey

J. Eldon "Corkey" Harvey age 82 of Watertown, died Sunday morning at NHC Healthcare in Smithville. Born July 31, 1933 at Statesville, he was the son of the late Jack Harvey and Montie Word Harvey and was preceded in death by his sister, Nellie Mai Johnson. Corkey was a 29 yr. employee of the Lebanon Woolen Mills and spent 24 yrs. with Nave Funeral Home and 15 yrs. with Hunter Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Mallie Martin Harvey of Watertown; nieces and nephews, Shirley Johnson, Brenda Whitehead and husband, John, Harold Ray Johnson and wife, Linda all of Watertown and Tammie Martin Burger and husband, Anthony of Smithville; great nieces and nephews, Scott Whitehead, Josh (Anna) Whitehead, Tara (Landon) Hewitt, Kaye Harman, Austin (Andrea) Johnson, Alex (Daphne) Johnson, Nancy Burger, Nicole (Brandon) Gay; several great great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Edward Martin of Smithville and "adopted daughter", Brenda Fogus Adams and her husband, John and son, Jim Greer III of Lebanon. Funeral services 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Steffee officiating. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. till service time on Wednesday. Pallbearers, Scott and Josh Whitehead, Austin and Alex Johnson, Jack and Will Hunter, John Adams, Jim Greer. Honorary, Jerry Wayne and Freida Johnson, Paul and Jean Neal, Joe Don and Jean Ann Parkerson, John Whitehead, Anthony Burger. Interment at Salem Cemetery, Liberty, TN.
