J. T. JENKINS, loving husband, Dad, Pa Pa, son, brother, uncle and friend, was surrounded by his family as he was called to be with the Lord on October 20, 2007.
A resident of Canton, Texas formerly of Farmers Branch and Irving, Texas, he was born January 24, 1941 in McKinney, Texas to John William Jenkins and Una Aline Ramsey Jenkins. For 12 years, J. T. and his wife were foster parents to 43 children.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda, his parents, and brothers, J. W. Jenkins and Don Jenkins. Survivors include his wife, Christie Jenkins; children, Michelle Keramidas and husband Cass of Garland, Jennifer Braafladt and husband Todd of Coppell, Jonathan Jenkins of Carrollton, Jeffrey Jenkins of Dallas, Jeremy Keller of Frisco and Jason Keller of Farmers Branch; grandchildren, Hope Braafladt, Hayden Braafladt and Emily Keramidas; brothers, Mike Jenkins and Curtis Jenkins; sisters, Una Farley, Billie Bryant and Mary Lewis.
A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Service will be 12:30 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Hovland officiating. Interment 2:30 p.m., Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane A. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

The Service for J.T. was beautiful. I have read all of the things people have written here in the guest book and it really does sum it all up - he was really one heck of a person.
