Not sure what to say?

Dear Runco family, I'm so sorry to find out about Marks passing especially now on this Christmas Eve. I just found out from our mutual friend Tom Holladay through his Christmas card. The three of us were very good friends in high school. I however did not have military ambitions as did Tom and Mark. My road took me to Hollywood. As the forks of the road split so did our contact. I always had fond memories of us and our high school escapades including the senior theme stage show and a little...

I went to high school with Jamie, and while I don't know the rest of you personally, please accept my sincere and heartfelt condolences on the loss of Mark. Jamie told me some stories about who he was and what a large, lifelike presence he possessed. While it is difficult to say goodbye to someone who is so much larger than life and who is loved so dearly, know that he is now among those who loved him as well and are far greater than ourselves. May you all find peace and comfort in his...

To all of the Runco family: So sorry to hear from Jack recently that my good friend Mark had lost his battle and passed on, but I know that he is in a better place now. He and I were good friends in high school and was the only friend from high school I consistently kept in touch with over the years. After graduation, we went to Marine Corps boot camp together. He got injured in the first 2 weeks and had to leave boot camp and the Marine Corps. He later joined the Army and had a great...

Jamie, I am so sorry to hear about your brother. I know from what you have told me he put a courageous battle. Please accept my deepest sympathies to you and your family. I am praying God will give you strength and peace at this time.

Dominic,

You met me only a couple of times and I'm not really a relative, but the brother of your Aunt Irene. But I want you to have my most sincere sympathy at your father's passing and also to know that Mark spoke to me about you in the most loving way -- about your courage and goodness, and about his pride in you and the man you would become. He understood that you can't have your parents forever, but that you can keep them -- always there and safe and true -- forever in your...

To The Runco Family,
Our condolences and deepest sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of sorrow.

The Runco Family,

I grew up in Montclair from '70 - '84 on Meadowmont Drive. I was sad to hear of Marks passing. Tim & Mark were older than I, but we were always welcomed to play basketball in your driveway and we spent countless hours playing. Mark was about 15 and a big dude to us little kids that were 10 & 11. He along with a couple of the older kids his age (Dave Clark) taught us all of the basketball games such as 21, make it-take it, horse, and 'round the world. I'm 48...
