Deepest condolences to Mike´s family. Mike was my Stonehill College roommate in Faneuil House for our sophomore year. He was a good friend, and very athletic, especially in intramural basketball. RIP Mike. You will be missed.

To the Shanley family, It is alway a sad day when we hear that a childhood friend and schoolmate has passed on. I believe Mike was one of my classmates that we went the entire 12 grades together! Although we may have only seen each other at reunions, it sounds like he had a wonderful life , and was happy. Thats the way it should be. But, He was obviously taken from you to soon . This man was a king - so incredibly giving and generous of spirit! Great memory of my teenage son`s first beer on Grand Cayman with him! He has left an extraordinary legacy behind- amazing family, deep loss

Mike was a great friend and had such a positive impact on everyone he met. I loved the years we were "Geese" together especially. Mike will be greatly missed .

a great friend for what seems my whole life. much basketball and golf and especially softball; he excelled at them all. wonderful person and a wealth of wisdom on many subjects. best sense of humor ever. he will be so missed.
