Ja'misle Stringer Obituary

Stringer, Ja'misle
Ja'misle Edward Stringer peacefully passed into the arms of God on Sunday while surrounded by enormous love of family and friends. His spirit now lives strong through the many people he loved and cared about during his 28 years of life. He was a devoted husband and high school sweetheart to Sandra Rena (Dickerson) Stringer. They were blessed with twelve years together. Ja'misle was also the loving son of William Anthony Stringer and Jane Ellen Stringer, brother of Elizabeth Diane Myles and La'teana Jenet Heuer, son-in-law of Julie Rodean Rada, brother-in-law of Norman Lee Heuer, Jessica Lynn Lopez and Katie Marie Rada. Not having children of his own yet, Jamisle spent much of his time and energy helping to raise and entertain his nieces and nephews, Tyrece Mi'Shawn Carr, Laquisha Angelica Myles, Jazzmyne Deanna Nikole Myles, Tayah Lizzette Myles, Tahlia Janae Heuer, Mya Nikole Lopez, Lakayla Sonja Heuer, Arianna Sophia Rada, and Loghan "Ja'misle" Heuer. Ja'misle lived a full and amazing life. Many were blessed by his contributions. Ja'misle is a 2001 graduate of North High School in Phoenix, where he was a fierce Mustang Football lineman. Ja'misle can be most remembered for his devotion to football. He was a skilled player and coach. While he was passionate about the game and the art of coaching, he was even more motivated by the joy of mentoring and inspiring young people toward success in life. Ja'misle's career was devoted to mentoring and coaching youth at North High School, Maricopa Youth Football, National Youth Sports League, Betty H. Fairfax High School, and RCB Medical Arts Academy. He touched the lives of hundreds of youths through his efforts. His mentees will most remember Ja'misle by the motivational and inspirational tales that he told at practices and before games. Jamisle's battle with leukemia exposed him to the dire need for minority and mixed race bone marrow donors for the National Marrow Donor Program. He and his family are passionate about doing what they can to ensure that the number of people is minimized who suffer or die because a donor cannot be found. Please go to www.bethematch.org to learn more about how to make a difference in honor of Ja'misle. A memorial service to celebrate and honor Ja'misle's life will take place on Thursday, March 17th at 3:00 PM. Please check http://jamislestringersmedicalexpensefund.blogspot.com/ for the final details about the location of these events. Following the memorial, family and friends are invited to attend a celebratory gathering. It is still so unbelievable that you aren't here my brother. You're one of the few that has reminded me so much of myself and the only brotha that has been like my twin. Through the good and the bad my brother you're on my mind. Miss you my dog.

So many lives you touched cousin, it warms my heart. I'm happy to have the memories I do growing up with you (in the kiddie pool in the back yard when we were kids & your visits to Cali) and wish I had more (darn it that we had to live so far apart). You will always be in my heart and I will always smile when I think of you. I love you!

You were my partner in everything we did and experienced growing up. There is no one in the world that I felt a stronger bond to. There was so much of you that completed me. I will do my very best to continue your legacy and strive to be a better version of myself. You left Shaq-size shoes to fill little brother. I hope we can do you justice.

The way I feel, the way we all feel, is so hard to put into words...
I need to start out by thanking you and Sandra for introducing Errol and I, life would not be same had you not. And thank you for bringing us into your/our wonderful family. We love you all so much!
Jamisle, you are my brother from another mother, my best friend, Sean's Uncle Misle, and Errol's harmonizing brother and partner in crime.
You are the most amazing person I have ever known and I am 'sofa king' proud to be apart of your life...
I will never forget, just about 5 years ago, when you helped me to take on the most positive step in my life... You put 'I am sofa king proud of you' on my myspace, and you know it took me a minute to get it, lol, but I eventually did, and it made me feel so strong and secure to know you were there for that and that I had someone like you there cheering me on...

Thank you God for having Jamisle's path cross mine, without him, who knows what path I would be on now...
Jamisle, you have touched so many peoples lives and no matter what, you have never backed down from what you have believed in, and for that you are our warrior and now our Guardian Angel...
You will be forever loved and missed! Thank you for being such a wonderful person to us all, and one day we will see you in Heaven my brother, I love you!

Ja'misle is truly a hero. He will be greatly missed. It's no secret he was one of my favorites, he always had a smile, a kind word, and an expert fantasy football tip!! My thoughts and prayers go out to Sandra and his family.

Ja'misle was a person that kept it real! I first met Ja'misle at North High School in '06. Although football wasn't my thing, we connected on another level. We always talked about our families, told stories about kids, being of mixed race, the love of music, and for folk that just were "not right"...we would just shake our heads, laugh, and then he would tell me "It is what it is". I would reply, "They need prayer" followed by Sandra bringing it home with, "Uh, yea...pretty much".

I laugh as I will always remember whenever one of us would walk pass the others office we would give a shout out..."WHUD UP!" followed by a heads up gesture and a chuckle. It was our way of saying, I sees ya, you are my peeps, and keep on keeping on! Although we had our funny moments we also had our serious and special discussions about our relationship with God and prayer. You see, he knew that this life was a TEST in order for it to be a TESTimony for someone else. He truly lived his life by the Fruit of the Spirit while being clothed in the Full Armor of God! My friend is completely healed and whole now. Ja'misle may be physically gone but the memories of him will forever remain so that stories can be told.

As I released my green balloon during his service, I could feel comfort and peace every time the wind took it higher and further away because it represented him and where he was... high above. Sandra, my prayer for you and the family is that you all find peace, comfort, and understanding as you continue your walk. Thank you for sharing Ja'misle and know that I am here for you my friend. Peace and love.

This truly is a short life well lived!!! I did not know Ja'Misle nor the family. I am humbled by this young man's life and the legacy he leaves. What a tribute to his parents and family. God's comfort to you all at this time.

Ja'misle was so great with high school students -- really firm, fair, and funny -- they knew he understood them but that he meant "business" and they respected him. I only worked with him for one year, but he was a pleasure to be around because of his combination of compassion, wit, and intelligence. I will always appreciate his sense of fun and admire the natural, loving relationship he and Sandra had. Just watching the two of them together was a lesson in true and abiding love. Somehow, I have to believe that Ja'misle is organizing heavenly football scrimmages and stirring things up for a few of the angels. He has truly made a difference for so many people, and his life will be honored every time we we are optimistic, every time we do something good for kids, every time we live our lives with courage and joy.

Though we may not have been close recently I will always remember you as one of my best friends. We spent many hours, days, and years together standing side by side battling the opponents on the gridiron. We also spent many more hours having fun, relaxing, and hanging out. I will never forget all the times we shared. We miss you, and always will.

Ja’misle is a wellspring of inspiration to me and to many others. He was such a wonderful and compassionate human being with so much love and positive energy. His strength and warmth have deeply moved me. His example of friendship and caring makes me want to be a better person. Though I’ve only know Ja’misle for a couple of years, it feels like I have known him longer, and he will be greatly missed. His light and goodness will remain with us always. When we laugh about the funny things he did, we will think of him fondly. When we raise a glass at happy hour, we will remember our friend. During football season, we will recall Ja’misle’s rowdy and silly antics. His friends and family will keep him alive in our hearts and minds. Until next we meet, my friend, wishing you blessings and all good in your celestial home.

When I bought 4 newspapers this morning at Circle K, the cashier asked me if there was a special in the paper today. I laughed because he had no idea...yes I told him, my friend's obituary is published today. And he was something extraordinarily special. You were the greatest. I am so happy to call you my friend and to have had met both you and Sandra. You will stay with me forever.
I love you.
