Not sure what to say?

I am very happy that your notice made me think of my dear friend Jack. We worked together for decades, but my fondest memories were when we swapped sea stories. Mine involved tropical waters and porpoise, his involved ice on the Murmansk run and U-boats.
I M VERY PLEASED TO REMEMBER HIM TODAY, THANKS, AND GOD BLESS EVERYONE.

God bless you, Jack.

I lived a couple blocks from where Jack lived in Asheville. We went to school together and I use to go up to his room and listen to the big bands on his record player. It is hard to believe I am 94 years old now and my wife is in a nursing home in Atlanta with Dementia. I am getting rid of the house in Charleston and moving in with my daughter in Atlanta. If any of Jack'ls family still around please write to me at [email protected].

Edie, Nancy, Jim and fmaily: I received the reminder that the guest book will be officially closing. I wanted to say once more what a pleasure it was to have known your Jack. Harvey and I spend many a day enjoying their stories and bantering back and forth. I never tired of hearing them. We always looked forward to our trips to Florida and started them off with a trip up to visit with them for a few days. They always welcomed us with open arms and I believe we all truly enjoyed those...

I was shocked today, June 19th, when I called to talk to Jack and found out that he had passed away back in March. No one informed me or any one else in our high school class 1943 in Asheville.
I lived a couple of blocks from Jack in Asheville and we were together a lot, especially in his 2nd story room on Orange St. where we use to gather and listen to his records. We graduated together from Lee H. Edwards High School. After the war I use to visit with him and Edie when they had a...

I don't know that I can adequately put into words what Jack and Edie and mean to me and to my family. Jack first hired me to work for him at the Minnesota Twins in 1974. Over the years he taught me many things and for that I am grateful. I remember all the stories he told and if one wondered if they were true or not I remember my mother saying that you can't tell a lie the same way twice so the stories must have been the truth. After Jack retired and moved to Florida Harve and I always...

Jack & Edie have been wonderful friends for over 40 years. The good times included camping, socializing and just visiting with two good people. We'll miss you Jack & we ask God's blessing for you Edie, Nancy, Jim and all the family.

I was glad I could say good-bye to Jack. As with my sisters, you know he and your Mom were favorites with us "Nelson" girls. You are to commended Nancy, for yor faithful service to your
parents in their time of need. I am sure I will see you on one of my trips from NC to visit with my Dad and of course Eddie.

So sorry for your loss.
