Jack E. Allen

JACK E. ALLEN Apr 6, 1930 - Jan 16, 2004 Jack was born in Oakland, CA but spent the majority of his time living in Fresno. He attended San Joaquin Memorial High School, Fresno City College, and University of California, Santa Barbara where he excelled in athletics, with his passion being football. He left UCSB to serve his country in the Korean War. He entered the U.S. Army as a private and returned home at the end of his tour as a decorated sergeant, earning the Bronze Star. Jack then married Catherine Moffett, with whom he has shared his life for the past 50 years. He worked his entire carreer in the oil industry, beginning with Phillips 66, before spending the last ten years of his life managing Red Triangle Oil Co., where he made many lasting and loyal friends. Jack is survived by his wife Catherine; daughters, Patti and Holly Allen; sons, Steve and his wife Kathy, Bill and his wife Becky, and Dan Allen; grandchildren, Danny, Annie, Rachel and Katie Harnick, Sean and Kathryn Allen, and Nate, John and Jacqui Allen; and brothers, Mike and his wife Jolyn, and Allen and George Weigner.
