Not sure what to say?

Jack and Shirley were intrepid travelers. We opened a guest book in our hotel in Apenzeller Switzerland (a remote village where women finally got the right to vote in 1969) and found they had stayed in the same hotel the week before. It was always fun to run into Jack at the Farmers Market and hear of his latest adventures. He was a true gentleman and an asset to South Bend.

Jack and Shirley were very special in my life when I was just a young girl. Shirley saw me drawing one day at the beauty shop and took my picture and Jack sold it and I went to art school with the money. They would take me out to eat, shopping and I spent a lot of time with them. I wished I would have never lost touch. Wonderful caring people. See you in Heaven.

Jack was an acquaintance for lots of years with his great work on the ND calendar. He was a real gentleman to converse with from time to time. Jerry Hammes

I went to Central with Jack and I always admired his artistic talent.. I have two framed drawings on my wall that Jack painted.. What a loss My deepest sympathay.. Also the loss of his wife.. Jack was a special guy at Central High.. . what a tragedy.

Jack was a an amazing artist and a very kind man. He and Shirley were wonderful neighbors..... back in the late 70's.
