Not sure what to say?

I only met Jack once, but he was a wonderful host making tea for my daughter and me when we stopped to visit Patti. I grew up in Flint and Flushing as well. Patti has been a lifelong friend and I am so delighted that she was blessed with the "love of her life". He will live on in the fond memories of those who cherished him. Looking forward to seeing you at the Memorial on July 16.

Jack and I were classmates at Central High School, class of '63. He was the most delightful person who could make someone's day with a smile. The last time I saw him was at the CHS 44th Reunion in Flint. It is sad to hear of his death, and I pray that God will give you His wonderful peace during this most difficult time. God bless you all. I remember Jack's smile and his love of laughter and a good time. He always brought so much fun to the ordinary day. May God be with you and may you find peace in the wonderful memories you shared with Jack.

I saw this and am very sorry for your loss. Jack was my former BOSS at Budget on Corunna Road in Flint. I still cherish the Christmas Tree you made for myself and all of his employees. I put it up every year. I really enjoyed that job and enjoyed him as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

Good morning. Sorry to hear about the loss of Jack. I am one of the waldman St. kids in Flint. My name is Derrel Fox and I had 3 sisters, Nancy, Linda and Sandi and Bro. Ken. I have some great memories growing up back in the late 40's and 50's - especially going to Diamonds market, where the whole neighborhood had a Tab. Jill, would love to talk to you - my e-mail is [email protected].

To Jack's family, I can only assume this is the same Jack Barber that lived on Waldman in Flint as a small boy. Myself and 2 sisters were friends to your family as kids. I remember Jill breaking her arm at Rollhaven skating arena. Your uncle Eddy lived in the basement and got me started with tropical fish.

We are so sorry to hear of his death. We often wondered where the family had moved to. The last contact I had with any of you was when his fathered died. I spoke with his...

So sorry to hear of Jack's passing. He was such a nice person -- his picture says it all.

Patti, and all of Jack's family - Jack was so lucky to have you before and during his illness. You were all his rock, and he yours. Jack was my friend for more than 50 years. We didn't see each other very often, but lucky for me, we kept in touch. I am so blessed to have known him. Love and Peace to you, Patti and your family.

Jack was one of the really beautiful people. He was always so upbeat that you couldn't help but feel better when you were around him. I can't help but smile when I think of our days together at Longfellow and Central. Joe Eufinger
