I was saddened to hear of Jack's passing. He was such an inspiration to anyone who met him. Not just in sickness but in health. His smile was an invitation to all that had the privilege to have known him. Rest in peace.

Good Friend, good times, always there for us. We both will miss him and his smile.

I was a student of Jack's way back in the day. Jack was a role model for all of us, in his humor, sincerity and thoughtfulness and just being a great human being. Thanks Jack.

Jack was one of my favorite instructors at ICC because of the caring he provided when some of us may have needed extra help. He was always there. When I think about the instructors I've had in my life, Jack is always one of the first to come to mind.

He even made it out a number of times (with his partner in crime - Denny Irwin) to listen to the band I was in at the time. He was as genuine outside of the classroom as he was inside. He will leave a lasting legacy.

I will always remember the tours that I got to goon with him and Pat learning more about the civil war
