Not sure what to say?

I still remember the fun times I had as a youngster at Dash Point with Jack's family. I still try to keep in touch with Bonnie. RIP, Jack.

Norma at her last (90th) birthday.

Dear Bonnie, Jenny and Jean,

Our family was saddened to hear of Jack's passing. We have fond memories of the time spent at Lake Meridian and Puget Sound when we were growing up. Claire Wilson, the sister of Jack's mother Eleanor, adopted and raised my mother, Norma. Although we weren't really "blood kin", you always made us feel that we were a part of your family, and we do consider you to be our cousins. We thank you for maintaining contact with us, helping us to relive the...

Dear Bonnie and Jenny,

I never dreamed the last time I would see Uncle Jack would be last summer at Cousins Weekend. Had not seen him in quite a while, but knew he was on the mend. So sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. He has left Pat and dad to carry on Grandma and Grandpa's torch, and now he is with his parents once again. In a way I envy him as I would give anything to be with my grandparents again. Love, Peter

My cousin Jack, the oldest of the Bigley cousins, was our neighbor for a year or so on Lake Meridian, when Bonnie and Jennie were a few years younger than me. He was an admirable and kind man, both then and later to his much younger cousin. I will miss him.

Bruce Bigley, Jack's cousin

I, too, together with my husband to be graduated from Meridian High with Jack. We were special friends then and have remained so, although I haven't seen Jack since shortly before Joe died in 2004. Jack sometimes visited us here in Olympia - where he would call at our office - we would have lunch or dinner together and many a good visit. His memories of earlier times and historic local and family events was wonderful! We know times were not always easy for Jack - but we loved whatever...

My Dad was about thirty-five when this picture was taken. I was hoping his former students would recognize him. Thank you to those who have written in the guest book and to all who have appreciated having him as a teacher. Bonnie, daughter

Our condolences to Jean, Bonnie, & Jenny.& grandchildren. from Howard, Dee, Mari, Lori, Gail & Susan. We have some wonderful memories.

Jack & I first became friends in the 5th grade at Brace School in Kent. We graduated from Meridian High School in 1943 and remained close friends the rest of our lives. as did our families.

Thank you, Bonnie, for the nice visit on the telephone Friday---Howard Olivers

We miss you Grandpa Jack. I remember the good days now, when you were standing tall and strong.

ODE TO DAD

O little child so fair,
Young man of strength
and promise,
What were you given
from heaven?
What did you glean
from the labors of others
that made you a conqueror
of your infirmities and
weaknesses; that made you
an encourager and a
teacher of many?
Old man still fair and
young at heart,
rich is your life
in contentment.
