Jack Henderson Blackwell

I'm saddened to hear about Great Uncle Jack's passing. He was a good man who accomplished a tremendous amount in his 103 years. Not the least of which is evidenced by the large family mourning his passing. I vividly remember great uncles Jack and Billy, along with my grandfather Claude, sitting down and reminiscing. What I wouldn't give to be around those three men right now. My deepest sympathies to his immediate family.

Jack was a good friend of my father´s. They were both in the steel industry and veterans of WWII. When my father passed 47 years ago, Jack traveled to Illinois for his funeral and told me if he could ever be of assistance just call. Over those early years of managing the company I did call him and ask his advise. He was always insightful, cooperative and honest in his comments. Truly a member of the greatest generation. May he rest in peace. Bill Hickey.

Jack was a dear friend and part of a wonderful family I loved. He lived a courageous life and was an outstanding CEO for O Neal Steel. I enjoyed seeing him on the practice range and loved his advice. My deepest sympathy to his family for a life well lived.

I was a caregiver for Mr Blackwell. (Angela). He was an amazing person. We had bird watching in common and I loved to hear the stories of his life. Mr. Blackwell will always hold a special place in my heart, Murphy too
