Read MoreJack Coil was my football and basketball coach at Chapin High School. He was a wonderful, tough, rugged guy, and we all admired him. He was everything a coach should be in terms of a role model and teacher. I wonder if the young men of today have anything close to such a role model. We were most fortunate to have a man of his talent coach and teach rough hewn farm boys.

Coach Coil was my football coach and baseball coach in 1955 in Chapin. He was a man of integrity who cared about his players and the school. Also taught History.
