My condolences to Jack's Family, especially to my friends Ray and Ann. Jack was not only a great athlete, but more importantly, a great person. Jack will be missed by many who had the pleasure to know him.

I was officiating a JV basketball game in Swartz Creek one night. I was preparing to hand the ball to a player to put in bounds when I hear a voice say, they are going to have to re-varnish the floor in the places youre standing. Not wanting to give him the satisfaction of looking at him, I handed the ball to the player and we took off. A little later I was again handing the ball to a player exactly where we were before. To Aunt Maxine, Theresa, Rich, and Susie my most sincerest condolences. I will always remember Uncle Jack with the fondest of memories. Never a slave to material wealth, but he was rich beyond anyone's dreams, with love of family and friends. Modesty and humbleness will always be synonymous with Jack Daniels. The stories he would tell of him and my mom, his sister, Betty (Daniels) Forbes, would always crack me up and will always be in my memory. I am sure they are reunited in Heaven and...

I remember him when I was a 10 plus year old growing up in Flint. He was raised by his grandmother with his older sister. We used to play street games and he was very athletic and played football in high school.
