My fondest memories of Jack Darland were when I was in Oelwein High School. He was the basketball coach when our team went to the state finals. We had a great bunch of guys who played their hearts out for Coach Darland! And those of us in the bleachers cheered so loudly.
My deepest sympathy to his wife and all of his family. I will always remember him.
