Jack Alton Fenter

Jack Alton Fenter, 56, of Burkburnett, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025.  He was born on June 26, 1968 in Opelika, Alabama.

Jack grew up in Hobart, Oklahoma surrounded by the strong influences of his grandparents, Jack and Opal, and antics with his friends. He graduated from Hobart High School and the University of Texas in Arlington. He was known to have a great sense of humor and was easy to get along with. He had an interest in hunting, fishing, history (especially Civil War and World War II), and collecting sports cards and video games. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching movies, playing video games, vacations, spending time with his family and friends, visiting casinos, going to live sporting events (favorite teams included OU Sooners, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers), and going to concerts. His favorite band was Van Halen, but he enjoyed various genres of music and often spent time listening to his favorite songs. His family, friends, and career at AT&T Wireless were very important to him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alton; his stepfather, Bruce; his sister, Edwina “Wina”; two nieces, Cassie and Allie; and a nephew, Jake.

He is survived by his loving wife, Missy; his daughters: Kristina; Kelsey and husband Daniel and their children, Addison, Kylee, and Evie; and Kayma and husband Garrett; adopted daughter, Anita and husband Josh and their child, Willow; his mother, Linda; his sister, Rebecca “Becky” and her children, Thomas, Hannah, and Emerald “Emma; his sister-in-law, Alyce and husband John and their children, Jacob and Gabrielle “Gabby”; his brother-in-law, Robert “Bobby” and wife Tiffany and their children, Blake, Kathryn, and Justin.

Services honoring Jack will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
