Not sure what to say?

My fondest memories of Jack & Katherine are the wonderful holiday dinners we shared with their family during the three years my husband Leland (Lee ) & our 2 older children Elizabeth (Beth and Michael (Mike) shared with them at their home in Menlo Park, CA in the late 1960s. I still make Jacks' recipe for "Yorkshires" (actually a wonderful popover flavored with a bit of beef broth from the main dish Prime Rib.= of beef. Lee and I speak of the good times we had with the Forresters. May...

I am the niece (Jean Leslie Key) who discovered that Jack and Katherine had been in the same wedding. When I told my mother, she immediately found a way to "re-introduce Jack and Katherine to each other. The rest is history. After I married and moved to the San Francisco Bay area, my husband, Lee and I and our 2 children spent many holiday dinners at the Forrester's. Fifty years and a few cross- country moves later our Christmas dinner is still Prime Rib, Yorkshire Pudding and Grandma...

Mrs. Forrester, Sue, Les, Steve, Jan and TOMF (and the rest of the Forrester Family), I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have so many great memories talking with "Jackson". I will have a glass of Red and some Fondue to celebrate a man who was so great and caring.
Love,

When I think of Great Uncle Jack, I think of laughing over a wonderful meal with family. His joy and passion for life will live on in our hearts. We are remembering you in our thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. Jack is home and whole again, and will be missed by all. The many SAI dinners and other occasions when we met and talked are a fond memory of a warm, happy, caring man who was always there for family and friends.

I am Jeanie, the “aforementioned niece” who came home from Katherine’s choir rehearsal and told my mother (Jack’s older sister and the quintessential matchmaker) that “Miss Mills was in the same wedding as Uncle Jack.” The rest, as they say, is history. As a reward, I became their official babysitter when they moved to La Mirada. After my husband and I moved our family to Northern California in 1968, we enjoyed many wonderful holiday dinners with Jack & Katherine and their family. When our...

My thoughts are with the rest of Jack's family. He is now somewhere wonderful, and the rest of us are without him. Be well, everyone, and enjoy each other while we can.

I remember listening to Uncle Jack play boogie-woogie piano in the living room at our house in Hollywood Riviera, his boisterous laugh, babysitting his & Katherine's kids at their house in La MIrada, and most of all those incredible meals he prepared with such flourish. Bon Appetit, Jack, Bon Appetit!

Jack was always warm and friendly, with a fond greeting for everyone he encountered. He faced the decline in his health and faculties with with a cheerful resolve, knowing that one day he would be made whole and perfect again.
