On the other side of the crusty exterior, there lived a softie. I remember you were always there to help out any way you could when I served the genealogical society as librarian and later president. I also remember your generous nature in volunteering your time and research material to the society. I'm glad I got to know you and be your friend. I will sorely miss you. Mobile won't be the same without you.

Jack, you will be so missed. You were one of a kind. I will always remember your wit and humor. I thank you for all the ways you remembered your children. You never failed to send cards and gifts for Kaitlin and Russ, your grandchildren. You would bake goodies for all at Christmas. I remember you taking your homemade treats to all that had to work on holidays too. You were honest, hardworking and full of life. You are finally at peace and can rest now with the Lord.
