Woodfin Funeral Chapel - Murfreesboro Obituary

Jack Gentry, age 68, of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 29th 2015. A native of Sevier County, TN he was preceded in death by his mother, Iva Louise Moore Gentry and her husband, his dad, J.R. and biological father, Jack N. Terry and his wife, Johnnie Mae.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Ron Caldwell will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors.

Mr. Gentry is survived by his forever loving wife, Carmen K. Gentry; daughter, Jackie Durant and her husband Joey of NC; sons, John Gentry of Rockvale, TN, Jason Gentry of NC, and Justin and Josh Gentry both of Murfreesboro; brother, Sean Gentry of Lafayette, OR; sisters, Kay Coker of Gatlinburg, TN and Donna Henry of Sevierville, TN; and grandchildren, Aiden and Anna Durant of NC.

Mr. Gentry served in the United States Army and was retired from American Airlines. He was a proud member of Sam Davis Masonic Lodge #661 and the Al Menah Shriners.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m.
