Your father's architectural criticism in the Tribune always had cogent explanations of how to make a better city of Salt Lake. Some of us paid attention; he cheerfully took the time to meet our class at the U of U Graduate School of Architecture in 1985, when he began his regular column on that subject. As a family friend, 17 and 12 years ago, he very thoughtfully wrote obituaries when my father and mother died. I feel a loss, but I can only imagine your grief....

Nate: I am so sorry to hear about your dad, I do also share your grief. Mr. Goodman was an extraordinary person and a good friend. I will remember him fondly. Best regards, Ali
