Not sure what to say?

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. JHS 1974.

Mr. Graybill was principal at Jefferson when I graduated in 1968. He was a dear, sweet, wonderful gentleman and will be missed by so many.

To the family of Jack Graybill. What a wonderful man. I loved Mr. Graybill and his wonderful smile and his easy manner. I loved seeing him at the all class reunion events and just talking to him about days gone by. He was so special to all of us as students. He WILL be missed and I am sure we will all carry him in our hearts for a long time to come. God bless Mr. Graybill and his family.

It was a privilidged to have graduated from JHS in 1969 while Mr. Graybill was principal. He always made us feel special and important. Mr Graybill was the claming person during the desegregation period. When we would see Mr. Graybill in the halls with his smile and his clamness we knew we are safe and it was going to be okay for all of us. It was a priviledge to have known Mr. Graybill. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.

Jack Graybill was a fine man and a good friend to me and my family. I had the pleasure of being best friends with Jay growing up and our parents struck up a friendship that endured throughout their lives. Jack was always an example to us of integrity, kindness and zest for living. We mourn his passing and will remember Jay and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

I had the priviledge of having Mr. Graybill as my principal at Patrick Henry when I came to Roanoke in 1978. He was a wonderful administrator, fair and professional. He was so considerate and such a gentleman. I will always remember how touched I was that he made a personal visit to my home after the birth of my daughter. He said he and Louise had a personal gift for us. Such personal consideration for one's staff is not often seen - how honored I am to have known this great man and to...

The William Fleming High School Class of 1959 sends its condolences to the Graybill family. Jack was a terrific person, great teacher and was loved, and attended our reunions. We will miss him greatly around town and at our Reunions.

Mr. Graybill was one of my favorite teachers. He was a nice person and a great teacher. I am so glad that I was able to speak with him at our WFHS 50th reunion in June.
