I DID NOT KNOW OF JACKS PASSING AN AS OF THIS DATE, JAN.23, 2026 IS JUST FINDING OUT AS WAS SENT A MESSAGE TO ME BY HIS DAUGHTHER LORI....MY CONDOLENCES AND LOVE TO BARBARA AND KNOW THEY WERE A LOVING COUPLE.. I WAS A BAND MEMBER IN JACKS BAND THE HELLCATS AND WE HAD STEADY GIGS AND ONE BEING AT A PLACE CALLED OCCONORS BEEF AND ALE IN NJ.. THE PLACE BURNED DOWN AND THAT ENDED OUR GIG...JACK LOVED DIXIELAND JAZZ AND WAS A FINE TUBAST...JACK AND BARBARA WOULD OFTEN SHOW UP TO HEAR ME IN GROUPS...

I was sorry to hear of Jack's death. Great guy.

I met him once for 45 seconds as a worker at Grunnings while I was in high school. He came in with a few people to talk to Mark Mirsky but stopped at the candy section, asked me my name and a few other questions and said ' You're a good kid, keep up the great work'. The look he gave me showed me he was sincere and then he gave me a pat on my shoulder and then squeezed my shoulder to emphasize what he said to me. The look, the pat, the squeeze, and the few words he said to me affected me...

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has reached out to the family with their condolences. It means so much.

Dear family, I have been reflecting on the wonderful memories of kind Uncle Jack. Growing up, my extended family helped shape me and I will always treasure those memories. I remember Uncle Jack's gift as a musician and enjoyed listening to him play. Herm, Myrna and my family have been thinking of all of you and send our love now and always.

Barbara, Saw Jack's obituary listed in today's online The Star-Ledger. Always liked Jack, and he was a fun guy whenever we were at a function, or I ran into him. May he rest in peace.

Dear Barbara: My deepest condolences on the passing of your beloved husband Jack. I will always treasure my association with Jack when volunteered his time and expertise as a member of the Board of Directors of Project Live, Inc. Jack was a generous, compassionate and caring person and a true friend to me. A big hug to you from Raul (Mendes)

Dear Barbara and family, Just saw this today- June 8. So very sorry for your loss. He was a lovely guy. Onie had told me he was already in assisted living quite awhile ago. Miss seeing you guys in NJ. It was always fun. Can´t believe i am living in Fl now for almost 13 years already! Fondly, Nona London

Jack was my grandfather and I loved him very much. He taught me how to ride a bike when I was little, and he used to bring my sister and me snowballs when it would snow where he lived. He also would hold my head back for me whenever I got a bloody nose we will miss you so much PaJack!
