Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to learn of Jacks passing. I remember him during my teenage years in Portsmouth. He was "cool" and will not be forgotten.

I am so very saddened for this holiday news. Love, thoughts and prayers for family and friends during this difficult time. His love for family shown through during his visits to Smithfield, VA ~ what a compassionate, kind and true gentleman.

Friends with Jack and Roxy since 1964, serving in the military together in Okinawa and friends every since. We made visits to see each other throughout the years. We will miss Jack very much. We had great times together and even when we didn't see each other for a couple of years we never missed a beat when we would get together. It was as if we had just seen each other yesterday. Much love to you Roxy. Jack will be missed, but am sure he is having a great reunion in heaven with family and...

Paul and I have lived next to Jack & Roxy Hartman since the 1980s. Jack's passing was sad and we send our sincere condolences to Roxy and the family. It will also be sad not to see Jack outside working or coming over to chat when we're all outside in the summer. Be well, Roxy. Let us know if you need to talk. Love to you.

Dear Roxy and family,

John and I send our most sincere condolences on the passing of your Jack.

We shared many happy and fun times on the Eastern Star trail and they will be forever treasured.

God must have needed a beautiful rose for His glorious garden because he took Jack.

God bless.

I'll not forget you, Jack. I always looked forward to seeing you at our family gatherings, counting on you for a laugh! You and Roxy raised some amazing children and your heart shines through in them. You know they'll take good care of Roxy for you. I had no idea that you had such an impressive career - I guess we can add "humble" to your list of attributes. Rest in peace knowing that you did well. With love, Lisa and family
