I was the captain of the first football team at US that Jack coached. I saw him at Gamekeepers Restaurant in Chagrin Falls several years ago, and it was as though we had just walked out of the locker room in 1956. He was a very good man, and a man that I will always remember.

To the Horner Family:
Jack was a real mentor to many students during all the years at US. He was a great roll model for a lot of us on the football field and in class. He will be missed and is now in a better place with our Lord. Our prayers go out to the family. May God bless all of you.
