I was a student at Columbine Elementary during Mr Kaufman´s final years there. He became the example by which I measured all future principals and teachers I encountered. I am 44 years old and I still remember him helping me to remember how to spell principal vs principle- he smiled at me and said "well just remember the principal is your PAL" His hugs were epic and he had a way of making you feel special even when I ran into him around Boulder as an adult. Sending sincere condolences to the mourners of my cousin, Jack Kaufman. We´ve been in contact via email throughout the years and met once in New York when he was visiting Sara and Lily. I´ll always remember as we said goodbye to each other, Jack said that he was a hugger and we embraced. Rest in peace my cousin - may your memory forever be a blessing and your Neshama a guiding light for us all - until we can hug you again.
