KENYON Capt. JACK SCOTT KENYON, USN (Ret.) On Wednesday, June 25, 2008, CAPT. JACK SCOTT KENYON of Potomac Falls, VA. Beloved husband of 61 years of Dixie Kenyon; devoted father of Jack Scott, Jr. (Stephanie) Kenyon, Bruce Kenyon, Sue (Stacy) Hamblen and Sarah (Dan) Allen; loving grandfather of Jack, III and Michael Kenyon, Kim (Peter) Dean and Cindy and Andy Hamblen and Kelly and Jenny Farnsworth; brother of Benjamin C. (Max Ellen) Kenyon. Cherished friend of Grandma Bea and Bill Taylor. Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 30 at 3 p.m. at the Vienna Presbyterian Church, 124 Park St., SW, Vienna, VA. Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, September 22 at 3 p.m. Family requests contributions may be made to the Jack S. Kenyon Memorial Fund c/o Bailey's Crossroads Rotary Foundation, PO Box 1510, Bailey's Crossroads, VA 22041. Arrangements by MURPHY'S FALLS CHURCH FUNERAL HOME.

Jack was my closest friend these past 65 years and we flew together in two wars. He and Dixie often shared vacations with Edith and myself and while I will miss Jack's humour and guidance Edith and I will certainly remain very close to dear Dixie and her wonderful family..

I first met Jack and Dixie when they would pick up their grandchildren from my preschool. He was the greatest Granddad ever and loved all his grandchildren.

In 1990 I first met Jack Kenyon at the Bailey's Rotary Club. In every instance and in every moment of any time with him it was a genuine and distinct experience. An American leader and generous man in every regard. He treated me and everyone he came into contact with as very special and was inspirational by his example. Condolences to the family.
