Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel Obituary

LASSITER, Mr. Jack L.-age 51, of Flint, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Wednesday, September 20, 2017 with a 2:00 pm family hour at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507 after which cremation will take place.  Pastor Jim Reid officiating.  Calling hours for Mr. Lassiter are 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Jack Leonard Lassiter was born May 5, 1966 in Flint, Michigan the son of Cornelia Coates and Larry Lassiter.
Jack attended Kearsley High School and was the manager at Muffler Man for many years. He loved to play pool, poker and racing cars. Jack enjoyed spending time with his children.

Mr. Jack Leonard Lassiter leaves to cherish his memory: children, Christine and Connie Jean Lassiter of Flint, MI and Brady S. of Bay City, MI; step children, Nick Boyer, Christopher Boyer and Joseph Boyer; sister, Tami Ferguson; uncle, Wade Lassiter; aunts, Cammy Coughlin and Judy Harman; special cousin, Kelly True; fiancé, Danette Reed; a host of other relatives and friends including special friend, Pete Hanson.

He was preceded in death by: father, Larry Lassiter; mother, Cornelia Coates; grandfather, James Leonard Gardner; grandmother, Opal Modell Gardner.

I had just met Jack a few months ago, & knew right away he was a wonderful &I kind soul. He will be sadly missed by all that knew & loved him, my prayers go out to his loved ones. I felt like I'd known him for years.

Jack was a lifelong friend from the days of playing t-ball. Life takes people in different directions but we always stayed in touch and he made sure of that. Prayers to his daughters and family he will be missed.
