Not sure what to say?

My dearest friend in heaven. Just to let you know, me and Johnny Schumacher remember a lot of great playing days with you and I remember the amazing smile that no one could match. I miss you my friend. I just wish you were still here so we could shoot the breeze, catch the air and just party on. See you sooner than later now Jack. Love you my brother.

Well my friend we come to another year and I look forward to the day when we play some music together again. I'm a better player now in a way but I still won't measure up to the Lieb Standard. Hope you and your Mom and Dad will be available. Keep smiling my brother. Miss you Pal. Shu sends his love as well !

Just as recently as last week I was posting to an online music chat board. I mentioned that I had had the pleasure to not only perform with Jack but an honor to have him as a best friend. I so miss that smile, the laughter and our fun and crazy times together. I love you Jack. Best regards from Johnny Shu.. We remember you with the gladness your brought to our hearts. Looking forward to hanging out together. You still make us smile bro ;)

It's been over 50 years since I met Jack in Jazz Band. I can't tell you how many great times we had throughout school and then playing with Jack on a bunch of gigs he got me on. Not because i was as good as some of those guys but because he was my friend. Guys at the college in security still remember him and you see the affection in their eyes when they reminisce about Jack . I'm close to hanging out with you again my good old friend .

I sure can remember a man with a golden heart and a beautiful soul. A smile that lit the room and a level of musicianship only exceeded by his humility. But when the baton came down he was warrior. Love you Jack. If there is a place where we can meet I look forward to that moment.

Always a quick smile. A bit of deviltry behind those eyes. Great musician and an ever greater person. I really miss you Lieb . . .

Jack "Jake" - One of my truly best friends from high school. I discovered the sad news about Jack today while looking at our high school reunion website. Jack will always remain as a good friend and fond memory to me. He was definitely a great person who you just enjoyed being around. I was lucky to have played in a band with him in high school - an amazingly talented and gifted musician. While we were in 12th grade, I remember walking to a party with him in a snow storm and then going back...

My Dearest Jack,
I just found out today and I am crushed.I loved you and will always see that smile when I think of you. I sit here less than 1 foot from the recording of "Snake Meets the Wizard" from 1974 at Notre Dame. I remember Amsterdam, Oz in Quinnipiac, the cowbells in Zurich and so so many great times. No person that you ever touched didn't love you as a person and respect you as a player.I'm gonna start practicing again just so
I'm good enough to get in whatever band we...
