Sorry to say that I will never meet Jack as my trip to Port Protection is still in the plans. Was my guess correct in that Jack took Trapper in?

Hey Jack: I often tell the story of how you helped out two State Troopers get an unruly prisoner off the ground and into back of the patrol car. I was one of the Troopers. We had a good chat about it a few months prior to your passing. One of those stories I will need to write.

You will be missed, and coming to Port Protection without you running the store will be just wrong. God Bless you old friend.

What a loss to the Mason family and the Port Protection community. I have fished every August around Port Protection for a number of years and until his recent fire we would stay at his apartment above the store.
