Not sure what to say?

Jack gave me my first haircut, and my brother. He was always a joy to talk to in the shop. My condolences to his family and friends.

Jack first cut my hair when I was in the booster chair and I got my favorite hair cuts at his Valley Dale Barber Shop. I know he will be missed and never forgotten by myself and many, many others! Doug Owens

Jack always had such an easy, familiar demeanor. You always felt welcome at the shop. He gave me my fist haircut and every other one into my 20s. He was a great sport at my first haircut as I couldn’t stop laughing when he got near my ears. What a great guy.

Jack will be missed. A good person, and barber. Prayers for him and his family. Thanks Jack for the advice (you're right, got a new battery thru AAA) and a good hair cut.

My brothers in Colorado reached out to me this morning with the news of Jack's passing. He had a wide reach and lasting impact on all who were blessed to meet him. I'm very sad to say the least. Jack was a father figure, mentor and most of all friend to me and every other kid who walked through the doors of Valleydale.

A real man and a good man. Caring with a great sense of humor, quick with an encouraging word. My barber from when I was a child until my 50's. There was a time I was between jobs and had come in to get my hair cut prior to an interview. Jack wouldn't let me pay - typical Jack. My heartfelt sympathies to his family.

Heart broken is an understatement. I remember the day before I left for I left for Iraq...I went in to get my haircut . When I was finished ...I got out of my chair ...I turned around and Jack was crying and gave me a hug. I reached out to pay him and he declined. I walked out and told him I would see him when I returned . What a great man! Loved his stories and always enjoyed seeing him. He will be missed...such an amazing man!

In the mid 60’s, Jack convinced me to get rid of my flattop hair cut...now I’m bald. Thanks Jack, just kidding as everyone knows, he was a great guy.

a good man. the obituary says it well. I started going to Valleydale 35 years ago when we moved here. He always remembered my son and his best friend, too. I will always remember good haircuts and good conversation with Jack.
