Jack Melick

My wife Linda and I met Jack on our honey moon. One day Jack did water aerobics. Got him to para sail for his first time. He beat everyone in a beer guzzling contest. And still went to bed later then the rest of us at age 78.his mother was 94 at the time. My Dad was a music teacher back in CT and the two would have hit it off. He took us to a favorite jazz club I recall. God bless him and family.

Thank you, Jack, for all the great music. Now you're in Big Band Heaven with your sax man Chuck Arlington, right alongside Glenn and Benny and Harry and Tommy... and Chuck cuts loose with one of his inimitable saxaphone riffs... and then all the cats join in.

I am a resident of Highland Springs Retirement Community where it was my pleasure to meet you, read your book and hear your remarkable stories first hand around the dinner table. You were a delightful person and were generous to play the piano for fellow guests before the dinner hour. I miss you and your music.
